About Fringe Learning

Smart learning for technical sales. Founded by Eric Naël.

Eric

Fringe Learning helps B2B technology and industrial companies turn engineering complexity into commercial performance, through learning programs designed for measurable business impact.

The company was founded by Eric Naël, who brings a rare combination of engineering fluency, hands-on commercial experience, and a decade of global L&D leadership. This page tells you a bit about how he got here and why this work matters to him.

The Journey

Eric trained as an engineer (Ecole Centrale de Lyon) but never worked as one. What caught him early was something different: helping people learn. From facilitating workshops in a pan-European student NGO, to teaching physics in Berlin, to designing cross-selling programs and strategic workshops at his first corporate job, the thread was always the same: the spark when someone suddenly gets it.

The commercial depth came at Ingersoll Rand, where Eric spent twelve years. First as a Product Manager owning a €60M compressor portfolio across Europe, Middle East, and Africa, living the daily reality of sales targets and product launches. Then as Global Product Training Leader, building the function from scratch for the compressed air business and deploying experiential programs across the globe. And finally as Corporate Commercial L&D Leader, with a team across 4 continents transforming learning for a 10,000-person sales force spanning more than 50 countries.

But the more the role grew, the further it drifted from what energized him. More managing, more reporting, less creating. Less time with actual learners. Less of those moments where someone’s eyes light up.

So he made a choice. He founded Fringe Learning to get back to creating and facilitating learning experiences, with an intention to bring the most value he  can to the world.

Why “Fringe”? Because many amazingly effective learning methods are unused in the  mainstream corporate learning. Experiential learning, flipped classrooms, smart gamification, AI-powered practice: these approaches are backed by science but still sit at the edges of common corporate practice. Fringe Learning brings them to the center, where they can drive real commercial results.
